CCS5 does not give an option for EVM6678L

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6678

I am currently working away from my office (so I do not have access to the installation CD).

I am trying to connect CCS5 (Version: 5.3.0.00090) to an EVM6678L, but there are no options visible for that board under General Setup. The only option is for TMS320C6678 and this does not work.

How do I get CCS talking to the board?

  • Peter,

The MCSDK Getting Started Guide (BiosMulticoreSDK_2.1_GettingStartedGuide) has instructions on getting connected to the EVM. If you do not have the MCSDK 2.x installed on your remote system, you can also find it on the TI Wiki Pages here. Search either the doc or online for "xds100".

  • The sdk is installed, but still no entry for evm6678l.

  • Peter,

There is not going to be an entry for the EVM6678L.

You can follow the instructions in the GSG that I referenced above, or you can import an example target configuration from the PDK that was installed as part of the MCSDK. If you have a good desktop search tool, look for "xds100" in the filename of a .ccxml file, or let me know and I will find the exact path; it might be mentioned in the GSG, but I do not know.
