Hello, We wish to know how we can interface LVDS LCD ( using 24 Bit RGB signals). We would use DS90C385A transmitter for this purpose. Issue is we are not able to find out DRDY signal from 814X...This LVDS transmitter supports 24 Bit RGB with HS, VS, CLK, DE ( DRDY) and RES( not known the exact purpose and part of 4th LVDS lane).

Please let us know if anyone has interfaced LVDS LCD ( using 24 Bit RGB with all control signals).

You can check for AVID pin from DM814x which will server as DRDY pin in your case. Cross-check in the datasheet once more.

Yes, it is possible to output RGB 24 bit with separate sync signals like hs/vs/de/pclk.

Hi,

DE, AVID and DRDY are different names for same signal. Basically signal asserts when valid data is present on bus.

Hi,

Thank you very much for the answer. However, about the 4th LVDS data lane talks about RES signal along with that last 2 MSB bits of RGB data is applicable are used for 4 lane LVDS LCD. Does this RES is "Reserved" or should be connected to either GND or pull up...any thoughts on this. I am now very clear on 18/24 bit RGB with HS/VS/DE/PCLK signals.
