How to read time TCRR from DSP on DM814x

Section 23.3.10 of sprugz8c.pdf (TRM) states:

"So, to read the value of TCRR correctly, the first OCP read access has to be to the lower 16-bit
(offset = 28h), followed by OCP read access to the upper 16-bit (offset = 2Ah)"

Where do these 16-bit offsets magically come from? Are they in a table somewhere? Are they even correct?

Vladmir, although I still don't understand the documentation, I did find I can read the counter register as a 32-bit read from EDMA, so for now my short term problem is no longer an issue.

OK, Andrew, I see, sorry for the delay.

However, when someone is performing TCRR register read in 16-bit mode, he still has to follow the instruction in the TRM, but instead of offsets 28h and 2Ah to use offsets 3Ch and 3Eh respectively.

Thanks Vladimir. What interface would one be using to read in 16-bit mode? DSP reads 32-bits, EDMA reads 32-bits, ARM reads 32-bits. What am I missing here?
