MII (GII) series resistors?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3352

Hello.

Following TMDSSK3358, but have changed the ethernet chip to the one used in Beaglebone LAN8710A. The Beaglebone schematics has series resistors (100 ohm) on 10 of the signals between AM3352 and LAN8710A. We plan to use the interface in MII (GII) mode. Then, according to http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/AM335x_Schematic_Checklist, "no series resistors are required for MII signals". Does this mean that it is safe to take away these 10 resistors (i.e. short the paths)?
