Hi, I'm new to panda board, I got a new pandaboard es REV 2B. I followed this article http://hbrobotics.org/wiki/index.php?title=Installing_and_Configuring_Ubuntu_on_the_PandaBoard to install ubuntu 12.04 omap4 desktop.
I flashed it on a SDHC 32GB class 4, i plugged dvi-monitor , mouse, keyboard.
I also used minicom and screen as serial terminals. But when i supply the board (with a switching power supply 5v 3A) the status 2 led is always ON and status 1 led is always OFF. No signals on monitor, keyboard and mouse. No output on serial monitor hence no boot.
I changed both power supply ( 5V, 5A) and SDHC(8 gb Lexar); Tried to flash ubuntu 11.10 omap4 desktop but same result!
I measured the current flows into the board, always 0.08 A.
