Graphic overlay before encoding video

I want to graphic overlay on the video before encoding it. Is it possible? can you give me any suggestion?

    Which platform are you using? Its possible to do it. If you would like to display some text, you can use software OSD. Also you can use Graphics Window in Display subsystem to render the graphics on top of video.

    I use Spectrum Digital's C6A816x/AM389x EVM. I want to overlay the graphic on the YUV 4:2:0  formatted video frames. Then I want to h264 encode this graphic overlaid video. In OMX examples, I observe that all OpenMax components manipulates video frames without graphics. Is there a way to overlay the graphics over YUV formatted video so that it can be encoded as naked video.

    Its possible using software osd library. SWOSD is available in DVR RDK package.
