PCI or PCIe Possible?

Is there anyway to interface the TI ARM processors or OMAP App processors to PCI or PCIe devices? I was hoping to find a USB to PCI bridge but have had no luck. I understand that the new Keystone line will offer PCI but i am not in the position to wait for pie in the sky and the device itself is a little over kill. Im looking to replace a MCP8548 processor.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

thanks

  • Hi Kyle,

The AM387x family of devices supports Gen2 (5 GT/s) PCIe:

  • Thanks. Guess i over looked that family because i had limited my search to multi-core chips. Not sure that one A8 can handle the processing needed. Also it only provides one PCI interface and the chip i am looking to replace has three. Unless i can use a circuit to convert the USBs to PCI then i dont think a TI product can help me at this time. :(

Any idea when the Keystone chips will be available? Maybe a good choice for next revision
