No. They cannot be used.

Steve, thanks for the reply. We are inadvertently using 50kB of the reserved area due to a linker command file error. The memory appears to be working. We are concerned that the reserved area will not be reliable for all builds. Is it advisable to use this memory area?
Typically there are test configuration registers in reserved area for variuos purposes. I am not familiar enough with C5507 to be specific.
However, since this is clearly marked as "Reserved" in the data sheet, my advisable answer is still a "no".
Regards.
Is there anyone in TI that can give us some guidance on which areas of the reserved space would be "safe" to use? Can we get some sort of concession from TI to use the reserved area?
Steve, can you put me in contact with a TI Engineer that is more familiar with the TMS320VC5507?
Chris,
I have already inquired this question with our quality control department. We guarantee everything as stated in the data manual. Any unspecificied features are up to the user to decide.
Regards.
