[TMDXEVM8148]: J13, J14 & J17 Camera Interface Connector usage.

Dear Support Staff,

We want to know if CSI pins in J13, J14 & J17 connectors on TMDXEVM8148 development board can be controlled individually as GPIO pins.

If it can be controlled, then what the GPIO numbers for the corresponding pins mentioned below:

 { CSI_DX0, CSI_DY0, CSI_DX1, CSI_DY1 } in J13 Connector

{ CSI_DX2, CSI_DY2, CSI_DX3, CSI_DY3, CSI_DX4, CSI_DY4 } in J14 Connector

 { CSI_RST } in J17 Connector.

If the above pins cannot be used as GPIO pins, then where can we find documentation for controlling the above pins.

Thanks & Regards,

Aravind S

  • Aravind,

There are no pins with the name csi_dx in DM8148. I couldn't find these pins in the schematics of board as well. Could you please upload the schematics of the board that you are referring to?

Alternatively you can try to trace out these pins and figure out to which pin these are connected to at DM8148 end. From the DM8148 portion of the diagram, you'll be able to figure out the multiplexed pins.

  • Hi Aravind,

AFAIK, These pins are actually used for CSI inteface, Please contact TI FAE or local representative to get more information for these pins.
