Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320VC5501
Hello,
I have designed a system which uses the TMS320VC5501 DSP and have gotten to the point where I need to start thinking about debugging. I've looked at the TI website for the DSP and it lists the XDS200 emulator as the cheapest supported emulator. But when I look at the emulator wiki (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/XDS100), it shows that TMS320C55x are supported for the XDS100 emulator. Am I just reading it wrong, or is it good to assume that the XDS100 will work for my application?
One other thing I've noticed is that the TMS320VC5501 has a V in it's product name. Does this mean it has a different, and therefore, incompatible core?
