Hi all

I want to use OMX capture the video and display on the LCD. our decoder is connected to VIP1 portA ,

I can use saLoopBackFbdev to capute the correct video data, but this example work under V4L2 with

external custom decoder.

In OMX work , how to add a external custom decoder? I don't found TVP5147 decoder in source code file.

Also I don't found the VFCC, VFDC and VFPC source code file, Is this package in binary file by TI?

Hello,

You could check here, how to add external video decoder and you could use V4L2:

In the OMX_PARAM_VFCC_HWPORT_ID struct there is a member called OMX_VIDEO_CAPTURE_HWPORT_ID eHwPortId. It can be set to one of this ports:

OMX_VIDEO_CaptureHWPortVIP1_PORTB
OMX_VIDEO_CaptureHWPortVIP2_PORTA
OMX_VIDEO_CaptureHWPortVIP2_PORTB

There is another struct called OMX_PARAM_CTRL_VIDDECODER_INFO. This has a member called OMX_CTRL_VID_DECODER_ID videoDecoderId, which can be set to one of:

OMX_VID_DEC_SII9135_DRV,
OMX_VID_DEC_TVP7002_DRV,
OMX_VID_DEC_TVP5158_DRV,

I added the external decoder follow this document .

I can use saLoopBackFbdev example capture correct video data and display on the LCD.

But I don't know how to use this decoder in OMX capture_encode example.
