EVM8148 Normal Cable connect PC problem

All:

I have a problem that when I use corss-cable connect the EVM8148 to PC,the LED ld8 next to the ETHERNET port 0  is always on and my program's RX interrupt works fine ,receiving packet successfully.But when I use normal cable connect to pc via switchboard, the ld8 is always off and my program's RX interrupt cann't work,receiving packet fail.

   Someone tell me that the ld8 means 1000M ethernet work.But when I change the phy set to 100M, the problem also exist.I can think the ld8's on doesn't mean 1000M ethernet wok.
   Who can tell me the real meaing of ld8's on or off, in addition tell me how to fix the problem,eg Register or program modify.

    Hello,

    I think you should first check your swith/network. Can you connect a PC there and see is everything all right? Please, check your ifconfigs. It is unlikely that the problem is in the EVM and modifications are required, especially when it is working with the crossover cable.
