HDMI Issue

I am presently working on the spectrum digital 816x/389 evm board. I am trying to display hellow world on the HDMI SCREEN which comes with the board.I am able to cross compile the code and the hellow world message in coming on the minicom. I want to display the hello world on the HDMI. i am new in the devlopment side and i have not worked with the HDMI. My initial perception regarding HDMI is that it works like a LCD .

kindly provide any link so that i can understand HDMI interface .

That appears to be a DSP development board - the only function of the MSP430 on that board seems to be as a power monitor:

That rather depends on what your perception of "works like a LCD" is - doesn't it?!

HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is, as the name suggests, an interface specification - so, in that sense, it is nothing like an LCD at all!
