DM816x Video DAC power down

Hello,

how can I power down the DM816x's video DACs?

The TRM reads:

3.2.6.3 Video DACs Power Down Control
In applications in which the Video DACs are not used at all, the power supply to the Video DACs can be
powered down by configuring the HD_DAC_CTRL and SD_DAC_CTRL registers of the Device
Configuration Registers.

But which bits in the HD_DAC_CTRL & SD_DAC_CTRL should be set?

The HD_CALSEL, HD_MIDRND and RESET_HD bit descriptions do not mention a power down state.

Hi Lo,

There is a control in the VENC to power down the DAC, but what do you want to do? Do you want to reduce the power by stopping clock?

Hello Brijesh,

I'd like to leave the pins VDAC_RBIAS_SD, VDAC_RBIAS_HD and VDAC_RBIAS_VREF unconnected, which, according to the datasheet (chapter 3.2.21) is ok if the DAC is powered down.

How can I power down the DAC?

Is it ok to leave the pins unconnected if the DAC is still powered?

As lo said like below, we found nothing to power down DAC. And you said there's a control in VENC, could you point out where's it?
