Hi Badri,

rdk 3.0 , dm8168.

Originally we create a channel 1 for D1 decode, if I want to decode for 1080p in the same channel. I need to delete the channel and recreate.

I want to replace "channel create for D1+ channel delete for D1 + channel create for 1080p" with "channel create for D1 + change resolution to 1080p".

Is it possible to eliminate this behavior like create a channel with D1 and I can decoding bitstream with resolution 1080p by a simple way?

Only option is to create for 1080p.Then you don't have to delete and create when you switch fron D1 to 1080P.

there will be buffer waste when decoding D1 with 1080p creation. We want to find a way about buffer-saving for other application in D1 case.

Did you have any idea? like I can change something in TI's architecture...did you have suggestion?

I don't have any idea. I don't think it is possible. Obviously if you allocate buffers for D1 and you want to switch to 1080P you have to delete previously created buffers and create again for 1080P. I cant think of any way to avoid this

Hi Badri,

By your speaking, the key point is the re-allocation for the buffer. If I can allocate the buffer dynamically, then I can do that. Right?
