I want to design a custom board dm8168， with ddr3，nor flash，sata，usb，expanded emif fmc and 1 5148 for 4 video inputs，

and it will work by 12v DC or 24v DC， so what power supply chips can support both DCs？

Hi,

I suppose that you are talking about automotive range power input. If this is correct your input voltage will be in the range 10.8V - 28V. The DM8168 power supply is complex, I suggest that you study the EVM schematics first (can be downloaded from here: http://support.spectrumdigital.com/boards/evm816x/reve/). Then you can decide what approach to take. The simplest way will be to implement the EVM power supply design and design an additional input DC/DC converter.

yes, that is what I designing. and our applicaiton supply may be 12v or 24v, so I want to design a board for both.

and I look through the SEED-DVS6467T board, which use tps54331 for 12v into other main power supplies ,and it can up to 28v. but it only 3a max current, I am not sure it is suitable for dm8168.

So I am here asking for an advised approach.

You could consider the TPS5440 (or TPS5450-Q1, which is automotive catalog part). Input voltage 36V, output current 5A (6A peak).
