Do you mean that you wish to use DM3730 SoM Rev D with OMAP3 EVM Rev G? If it is true the answer is yes.

About the patch could you give more detailed description of it and where I could find this patch?

I got the link from TI Support Forum:   OMAP3530 4-bit and 8-bit ECC (errata advisory 3.1.1.181)  

To implement the 4b/8b BCH based correction and detection, apply these patches on PSP 03.00.01.06 release. You can access these under

As a note, these patches implement the 4b/8b BCH based correction and detection, but do not include support for enabling Micron on-die ECC processing.  

Applied these patches for 4bit ECC correction and detection. I get the error on a lrge scale:-    

 "mtd->read()" and "returned ECC error".

But when I use DM3530 SoM Rev C with OMAP3 EVM Rev G, these errors do not occur.
