Hello,
In our C5505 application, we are evaluating moving from a core frequency of 65 MHz to 131 MHz to address an increase in processing needs. After evaluating the impact of such a change, the Device Operating Life Power-On Hours (POH) specification was a cause for concern. SPRS660E page 68 indicates this value is 35,000 hours with a temperature less than 70 C.
In our implementation, the PCB will be potted, and never in an ambient temperature greater than 40C. Since 35,000 hours is relatively short vs the expected life of the end product, we want to make sure that this value isn't overly pessimistic for the application. Is there any additional reliability data that could be provided to further detail the operating life under various conditions?
Thanks - AM
