Hi all,

I want to use TLK110 PHY with AM3359 in my design as used in IDK but my configuration is - one PHY to be connected to PRU1 MMI1 for industrial ethernet and

Other PHY is connected to GMAC_CPSW. Do i need to use PHYAD0-3 (Pull high or Pull Low) pin to assign separate addresses to both PHY's or i can leave them as 0000 for both because its using different controllers - CPWS & PRU.

Hi Prateek,

Since the PHY's will be connected to different MDIO interfaces there is no problem if they have the same address.

You mean i can have any address either 0001 or 0000 for PHY connected to PRU1 MII1. Similarly for RGMII0 either 0000 or 0001 or any other address right?

Yes this is correct. The PHY address is used on the MDIO interface, and PRU_SS and GEMAC_CPSW have different MDIO interfaces. However check with your software team for the appropriate PHY address for each interface, and keep in mind that if you want to boot from Ethernet the PHY must be connected to CPGMAC port 1 of the processor.

I am planning to use Profinet and Powerlink. I also want to know if software support is available in linux for Powerlink?
