Hi OMAP Team,

I have downloaded DaVinci-PSP-SDK-03.22.00.02 package. Please help with the following questions.

1. Is the package good for OMAP-L137 EVM?

2. Does OMAP-L138_FlashAndBootUtils_2_40 support OMAP-L137 EVM?

3. Does u-boot-03.22.00.02 support OMAP-L137 EVM?

4. There are three tar files, u-boot-03.22.00.02.tar, u-boot-patches-03.22.00.02.tar, and Unified-patch-03.22.00.02. How to apply these three packed files?

1. Yes, you can use this package for the OMAP-L137.

2. You will want to use the utility for the OMAP-L137. The following wiki page points to where to download this utility and instructions on how to use it.

3. Yes, u-boot-03.22.00.02 supports the OMAP-L137 EVM

4. The latest u-boot with all patches applied can be found in the u-boot-03.22.00.02.tar.

The u-boot-patches-03.22.00.02.tar contains the individual patches for specific functionality. This can be used to patch in certain functionality to an older version of u-boot.
The Unified-patch-03.22.00.02 contains one patch that combines all of the patches found in u-boot-patches-03.22.00.02.tar, if you wish to apply all the patches to an older version of u-boot.

Hi Clinton,

Thanks for your answers. Is it true that a package named with DaVinci, like DaVinci-xxxxx-xxxx, is based on DaVinci GIT SDK environment? More and more packages are based on DaVinci GIT SDK. Should I move to DaVinci instead of staying with MontaVista Linux Pro 5.0?

Hi Ping,

We recommend moving to the Da-Vinci GIT SDK environment as we have limited the support with the Monta VIsta Linux pro development environment. We also plan to update the wiki articles on setting up Linux in the getting started guides with the information in the documentation that is provided with the Davinci based Linux PSP releases.

In the mean time, let us know if you have any issues in getting linux setup.
