Load program to LCDK without an emulator

You can program the OMAPL138 LCDK with CCS without an emulator using the NAND writer project or you can use the OMAP-L138 serial flash utility. More information can be found on flashing the NAND and using that utility at the following links.

I have a question about the following wiki part:

My purpose is to download a blinky LED example to my target board via CCS without an emulator.

I have already flashed  to NAND and booted the prebuilt image named gpioLED  (blinky LED example ) successufully.

As far sa CCS concerns ,I was informed that I can flash the blinky LED example via CCS with the NANDwriter project.

Trying to do so,it's not obvious to me how can I connect my target board  to CCS via the GEL file. (1st bullet in the pre-mentioned wiki page )

I have CCSv5 both under linux (ubuntu 12.04) and window (windows 7 ) host and my target board is ΟΜAPL138-LCDK.

Hi Katerina,

To flash your board without an emulator, you can use the command line utility mentioned in the first bullet at the wiki article you mentioned. This uses a serial port on the LCDK board. The NANDwriter project in CSS will require you to use an emulator to connect to the board.
