Do tristate pins require pull-up/down resistors?

Hi

We have an OMAP-L138 design with a number of unused pins. If we set the pinmux values for unused pins to be tristate, does the pin still require a pull-up or pull-down resistor, i.e. is there still a floating input behind the pin, or is the pin effectively a disabled output?

In some cases we'd like to avoid using the internal pull-ups/downs because many of the pins in the same CP[x] group are outputs and we want to minimise the power usage.
