Linking problem on Ubuntu 12.10

Hello all,

I just installed Starterware on Ubuntu 12.10 and was trying to compile a sample code for the beaglebone.

No matter what example I compile, I get a warning and an error:

arm-none-eabi-ld: warning: library search path "/lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/4.3.3/" is unsafe for cross-compilation
arm-none-eabi-ld: cannot find -lc

Can anyone shed some light on this?  I am still learning my way around linux.

Thank you,

A
