Deploying an Android APK from Windows

Hello, (I am student, new to Android development and I have a few basic questions)

1. Is it possible to deploy an APK to the AM335xsk with Eclipse and not use CCS.

2. Can XDS100V2 be used? I followed the instructions for installing the ADB but I get the following error: "The specified file does not contain information about your hardware"

I added the following lines into the android_winusb.inf

[Google.NTx86]
;TI EVM-SK
%SingleAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_18D1&PID_9018
%CompositeAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_18D1&PID_9018&MT_01

The device comes up with three prompts:

1. Android

2. EVM-SK\XDS100V2

3. EVM-SK\XDS100V2

I found the XDS100V2 drivers from the FTDI website and they have been installed. I just need the Android driver.

I Followed the same directions and get the following error: "The specified file does not have any information about your hardware"

I made the following changes in the android_winusb.inf file

;TI EVM-SK
%SingleAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_18D1&PID_9018
%CompositeAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_18D1&PID_9018&MI_01

Could you try with the PID value of D002 instead of 9018?

The init.rc file for AM335x Starter Kit seems to suggest that the adb interface uses USB VID/PID of 18D1/D002

Thank you so much, that worked and has installed the android adb for the device but the device is still not showing up in the eclipse "list of connected devices when I'm deploying an application". Also can you please tell me the purpose of the adb_usb.ini file that we create .android folder
