Get the Hsync count from VPSS VIN of DM816x

Hi all,

our design was connected VGA/YPbPr ADC with Dm816x VIN port and with separate sync.

Is it possible ti get the hsync count from VPSS register ?

or any information that we can determined the input resolution ?

I am using RDK.

- basically it's impossible.

- you could try to capture some info like "Lines Per Frame/HSYNC Width/VSYNC Width" from your ADC. The naming will be different and depends on datasheets

Hi,

It really depends on the input discrete sync mode you are using. In the some of discrete sync mode, you could get number of hsync pulses within a frame. So tell which input interface/mode you are using..

Hi Brijesh,

We are using 24-bit data with Hsync and Vsync

I think we will configure capture mode as VPS_CAPT_VIDEO_CAPTURE_MODE_SINGLE_CH_NON_MUX_DISCRETE_SYNC_HSYNC_VSYNC in RDK

Hi Andrew

You could get the frame size from the frame size registers of hte input port in hsync/vsync style of capture i.e the one which you are using? You can get the same frame size as a rt param when frame is dequeued from the capture driver if you are not using scalar in the path.
