Hi,
We have a different issue in our newly built boards using TMS320C6745 processor. Things we have observed are
Previously, this revision of boards are tested and delivered. Now We have purchased new lot of IC's(Prev IC's are TMS320C6745 B PTP 3, new ones TMS320C6745 C PTP3) and assembled new lot of PCB's ( same gerbers).
1. Board has on-board emulator, which can't able to connect to Studio. Even external emulators are also having problem.
Sometimes they are connecting, but in that case, once GEL file is executed up to some level it is strucking ( PSC control ......)
We can able to read registers through emulator rarely, we are seeing always PLLEN in bypass mode, we can't able to change it to enable mode.......!
2. We are using, 24Mhz, crystal on board, seeing crystal output at OSCOUT terminal, which means Processor's OSC block is working. Otherthan this Processor is not responding in any other interface.
3. We have connected GPIO's ( pins 29(GP1_0).....GP1_11(41) ) to LED's through 180Ohm resistors. we have option to enable all LED's by connecting all cathode pins to GND. before connecting any LED cathode to GND we are seeing proper voltages on GPIO pins correcponds to IPU or IPD. once LED's cathodes are connected to GND we are seeing wierd voltage levels on GPIO pins not Voh or Vol one is at 1.8V, one is at 2.2V(those who have IPU's).
4. there is no response from IC to RESET pulse--- if RESET is active whether the OSCOUT terminal will generate clock or not...........?, status of GPIO pins mentioned above are also not changing.......
we have assembled around 15 boards, all are showing same behavior..... we are unable to decide whether IC is alive or dead.....
How to debug the processor to know any other module in it are active or not......?
