Series Capacitors on Hyperlink Interface

Hi,

Do I have to place series capacitors on the Hyperlink SerDes if the two C6678 device's power supply comes from the same source?

    In the configuration you described the series capacitor is not required.  This is only true for the Hyperlink SerDes interface and only when connecting one KeyStone I device to another.

    Hi Bill

    I see you have very kindly answered a question regarding series capacitors on Hyperlink interfaces - I too have asked a question regarding the physical placement of capacitors on a Hyperlink interface, particularly between two boards connected by a high speed connector. I wondered if you had seen this question and if you have any useful comments for us as we are now in PCB layout.
