Hi,
I would like to connect the DDR3 memories to DDR1 interface only on the AM3874, leaving DDR0 unconnected.
Please advise whether is this possible?
Thanks and regards,
pb
Hello,
I think you should use only DDR0 instead of only DDR1, since much of the software side could be tuned to use it's memory range.
Please, read the entirety of this article:
http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/EZSDK_Memory_Map
Other then that I think you should be able to use only DDR0, read the entirety of section "8.13 DDR2/DDR3 Memory Controller" [Device datasheet], please; section "8.13.4.2 DDR3 Routing Specifications [8.13.4.2.4 DDR3 Interface Schematic]" has a paragraph describing how to handle the unused pins. Also there is section "4.4 Handling Unused Pins".
(If you have further questions related to the memory map, please start new forum thread)
Thank you.
