C6748 with lwip or NDK TCP performance query

Hi everyone,

One of my customer want to use C6748 for network usage. And they have test the performance with C6748_StarterWare_1_20_02_02 lwip echo demo. It's about 100kByte/s. And they hope to implement it to more than 300KBYTE/s TCP transmit. Does this requirement possible?

Does anyone know  the performance with starterware lwip on C6748. And the performance of NDK on C6748?

BTW: They run dsp 450MHZ and DDR 150MHZ

Thanks!

BR,
Denny

  • Hi Denny,

The information about the performance and benchmark results of NDK for C6000 TI DSPs can be looked at http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/NDK_benchmarks and the NDK Benchmark-Sizing Application Report (SPRAAQ5A) describes the procedure to benchmark NDK using CCS.

As Starterware includes Device Abstraction Layer(DAL) libraries and example applications to demonstrate the capabilities of peripherals on the TI processor, they are basically intended for providing prebuilt binaries for quick evaluations on the target. As of now there doesn’t seem to be any Performance or Benchmarks available for Starterware.

    Hope this helps.
