How to integrate AAC HE Encoder in EZSDK

Hello TI,

We are using EzSDK (ezsdk_dm814x-evm_5_05_01_04) for software development on our custom (DM814X based) board. We are able to test AAC LC Encoded with EzSDK as mentioned here http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/OMX_AAC_LC_Encoder_Integration_in_EZSDK

But we have specific requirement to integrate AAC HE Encoder (AAC-HEv1 and AAC-HEv2) in our product.

Can anyone suggest me or guide me how to integrate AAC HE encoder with EzSDK ? Is it same as AAC LC integration mentioned in above link ?

Many Thanks for the information. Does that mean AAC HE encoder will not be supported in near future ? And as of now there is no plan for that.

We integrated AAC-HEv1 and AAC-HEv2 with DVSDK in our client's older DM6467 based product, and we are developing DM8148 based new product which uses EzSDK. AAC-HE is working with DVSDK in older product so it is must for us to have AAC-HE in new product as well.

As per my knowledge AAC-HE encoder is just production binary and it will not have any difference which is with DVSDK and EzSDK. And EzSDK is expansion of DVSDK itself so almost all configuration will be same as DVSDK. Can you please confirm that if i follow the same methodology in integration i will be able to integrate it ?

Thanks Feroz,

But i think the link has AAC HE decoder only and for encoder it has AAC LC and not the AAC HE.

We need AAC-HE encoder.

Hi Feroz,

I have visited web-page link provided by you but as per our requirement we are looking for AAC-HE encoder, which is not available at that link.

Can you tell me when will AAC-HE encoder, be available on this page?

One more thing DM6467 have support for AAC-HE encoder and AAC-HE encoder binary also available on below link.

Can that AAC-HE encoder binary available for DM6467 will work for DM8148, because for AAC-HE decoder binary of DM8148 is working for DM6467 as per release note provided on below link.
