Could TPS65070 power TMS320C6748?

I want to power TMS320C6748 with TPS65070.

But I don't know whether TPS65070 can power TMS320C6748 correctly.

I have read the Application report "Powering OMAP-L132/L138, C6742/4/6, and AM18x with TPS65070, SLVA371B–February 2010–Revised August 2011".

But the application report doesn't specify whether TPS65070 can power TMS320C6748 clearly.

Could anyone give me some advices?

Have you seen the C6748 SOM schematics? TPS65070 is the PMIC used on the C6748/ OMAPL138 SOM that goes on the Logic PD EVM.

Let us know if you don`t have this on you and I can post a copy of it here or send you a separate email.

Thanks for your reply.

I have seen the OMAP-L138 rather than C6748 SOM schematics on the Logic PD website.Although it seems no diffenrences between the two devices except ARM on their datasheet.

I wonder whether TPS65070 can power TMS320C6748.

You are correct, the primary difference between OMAPL138 vs C6748 is essentially ARM+DSP vs DSP only.

From a power up sequencing, power design/consumption standpoint TPS65070 is well suited for C6748.
