RESET_OUT_N toggles

Hi!

I'm using the VAR-SOM-OM37 module and when I turn on the power supply, then the reset_out_n pin toggles. Reset_in_n is stable (high). Do you have any suggestions why this could happen? When/why does the module leads to a reset? I think the supply voltages should be OK (3,368V and the module produces 1,84V). The datasheet doesn't provide that much information about reset_out_n, and I'm a newbie, so could you please be so kind to tell me what it is about?!

This is a third-party module. For more information on reset signals please read section 3 of the AM/DM37X Technical Reference Manual (http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/sprugn4r/sprugn4r.pdf).

Hi Biser,

thanks for your answer! I've seen this Manual before and tried to figure out the dependencies of the reset_out, but anyway it's too complex for me :-( I will have a further look on it and try to find out WHY the module produces the reset_out. There must be a reason why this happens - so my suggestion is, that maybe the power supply is not correct (but the 3,3V is stable and the module produces the 1,8V) or that there is a problem with the clock - do you have any suggestions?

If you don't have any software running the source could be a watchdog reset. You should check conditions for the warmreset signal in the manual, it's a bi-directional signal.

The problem was the LB_WAIT signal. It has no safe_mode and therefore it's not allowed to pull-down it.
