Hi All,

I noticed that TI did provide a huge SDK package for AM335x Sitara product (I planned to use AM3359 Starter Kit). What I realise that is it contains kernel and uboot.

I guess if I build the Kernel and the board should boot up without any problems (No OS required at the moment).

But if I am going to customise the AM3359 board to remove and add few other modules like USB dongle or USB wifi module, is the SDK package will suit me for this activity? I also noticed the existance of the Yocto Project. Can anyone help to advice me what to look for? I am a bit lost at this stage.

I am not familiar with Yocto (it seems very interesting!) but it seems it only supports Beagleboard hardware at the moment.

In addition to Maciej's great suggestions, let me point you to our Boot camp Training, specifically the Hands On overview. This might provide some good info. to get started with the SDK.

The SDK should support most USB dongles out of the box, depending on the mode they require. At most, you might need to change the kernel configuration to enable a particular mode if it is not already enabled.
