EZSDK installer deletes existing installation without prompt

I accidentally executed the EZSDK 5_05_02_00 installer and immediately clicked no on the installation prompt, yet it deleted my EZSDK directory, causing me to lose work. Why does the installer delete this directory with no prompt? Is there any way to recover the deleted files? I have replicated this on two separate computers.

  • Hello David,

I am not involved in the development and the configuration of the installer. I simply tried this, when I read your post.

It seems that the installer creates some sort of a temporary folder with the same name and path as the default install destination and deletes it when you say "NO" on the first prompt. So one workaround is to install not using the default path/name.

I am really sorry that you had to face this one.

Thank you very much that you let the community know.

    BR
