omap3 isp image rotation

Hi Srinivas,

As you have read in the TRM the ISP CBUFF has support which uses VRFB contexts. I suggest you to pay attention on the function related with rotation in the ./kernel/drivers/media/video/omap/omap_vout.c and ./kernel/drivers/video/omap2/omapfb/omapfb-main.c files.

Thanks for the response.

I gone through the implementation in omap_vout.c file. I thought of using that as reference and implement in my camera Linux driver. It seems that single instance can support rotation on width up to 2048 only. Where as we want to rotate 5MP (2592x1944) images.

May be ISP CBUFF suits better for our requirement. I can start based on the information in TRM. I am not sure whether I can make it work or not with out complete HW knowledge. It would be of great help if there is any sample code or app note for ISP CBUFF implementation.

Thanks for your question.You said that you are trying to find a way to rotate the image captured using camera sensor.

You can just add an image SDK,They can rotate the image effectively.And besides,you can also process them.I

believe there must be some third party program supports to process the image captured using camera.Hope to help

Did you made any progress on this part? In my project, we also require to rotate 5MP images from the camera at 90' degrees and save the frame in memory. If you have done this rotation using cbuff isp, Please share the code.

We have not spent time on cbuff implementation at that time. Instead we have done rotation in sw.
