question about description in TRM

hello,

I'm looking reset sources in Table 18-28, but I can't find some naming like ACT_DOM_RST, DEF_DOM_RST...etc in sprugx8.pdf or sprs614d.pdf.

Are there any documents describe these naming?

  • Hi Jack,

No, there are no other public documents that describe these reset signals.

The ACT_DOM_RST, ALW_DOM_RST and DEF_DOM_RST are non-retention reset signals (actually in DM816x we have only non-retention reset signals) and of type local cold reset sources. These three are outputs of the PRCM to the corresponding power domains - Active power domain, always-on power domain and default power domain. They are identified by the naming convention <PowerDomain>_DOM_RST. Upon transitioning a power domain to the ON-ACTIVE power state from the OFF power state, non-retention type reset source is always asserted.

    BR
