DM642 camera switch sync missing issue

Hello

I am working on DM642. My application required to switch camera. Both the cameras are connected with a MUX which selects the input video for DM642. When the video is switched, DSP misses the sync and a vertical and/or horizontal black line appears on the video.

I tried to reset the video port by setting VPRST bit of VPCTL. But it doesnot make any difference. I also tried to reset the capture channel by setting bit RSTCH in VCxCTL register but the problem still exists.

Kindly suggest some ways to get rid of this synchronization problem.

Here is another question of similar type, he did it on DM648, I think would work for DM642 as well to resetting the video port.

I have solved this issue by calling COVER_RECOVER command from FVID_CONTROL() API. This call will reset the EDMA and synchronoizes the frames.
