How to use VIP inline scalar for capture frame scaling in VC_SDK ? How does VIP inline scalar work?

Hi ,

I have a question about VIP inline scalar.

When we set scEnable flags to "TRUE" in captureLink , VIP inline scaler is used for scaling. where is the code that config the inline scaler and control doing scaling?? Can I config VIP inline scalar as swMsLink do?

I want to know more about how VIP inline scalar work.

Hi,

Inline scaling cannot work for multiple channels. Further it can be used only for downscaling if its inline scaling.

Hi,

"Cannot work for multiple channels" means that I can only use inline scalar on either VIP0 or VIP1, but not both ?

You could use scalar in VIP0 and VIP1, but not more than 2 channels.

Hi,

Yes ,I use inline scalar in VIP0 and VIP1 only.

My problem is If I uesd IOCTL_VPS_CAPT_SET_SC_PARAMS to change vip inline scalar parameters, will the coeff parameters be loaded to scaler immediately ?How can I load the new coeff parameters to scalar immediately ?

Hi zhouhua,

Coefficients will not be loaded immediately, it will be loaded only when you start capturing. Also this ioctl cannot be called when capture is running.
