How can I download the "sw-usb-windrivers"?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAPL138, OMAP-L138, SW-USB-WINDRIVERS

Hi,

I'm debuging "usb_dev_bulk" from OMAPL138_StarterWare_1_10_03_03 on OMAP-L138 Development Kit.

Now PC can detect it with correct VID and PID, but I can't find driver files to install the driver.

I found the link "http://www.ti.com/tool/sw-usb-windrivers" in the forum, but seem like it doesn't work. Could anybody tell me where I can download the driver?

Thanks a lot!

  • Those drivers originated with StellarisWare. With Stellaris being renamed to Tiva, that link may have been moved or deleted without realizing that StarterWare uses the same host applications. Unfortunately, I do not the permalink to zip file. Maybe try posting in the Tiva sub-forum or StarterWare sub-forum.

  • Hi Norman Wong,

Thanks for your reply, I still haven't find the driver files.

    Hi TI Engineers,

In "StarterWare USB", it's show me "Download and install Windows host driver and application (SW-USB-WIN and SW-USB-WINDRIVERS) from the StellarisWare download page". But I really can't find it. Could you give me a way to solve this problem?

  • I see you managed to move this thread to the StarterWare forum. TI acquired Luminary Micro and their Stellaris back in 2009. The link at Luminary is long gone. All the present StarterWare releases use the Stellaris VID/PID. If you are in a rush and you can try the complete Stellaris package:

    http://www.ti.com/tool/sw-lm3s

Note that that package is the code and documentation for the entire Stellaris line. It is a very large file. A tiny amount of it is the windows drivers. Hopefully TI will restore the much smaller sw-usb-windrivers package.

  • Hi Norman,

Thank you very much for your help. Finally, I downloaded "libusb-win32" and installed "libusb0.sys","libusb0.dll" to finished driver.

I'm not sure it work exactly. If still has any problem, I'll try to use the way you supplied. Thank you for your meticulously help again. It's very helpful to me.
