omap4460 how to boot from sd card

hi.all

since i knew ,i should use the raw mode if i want to boot from sd card.

1. i had formated the sd card ,which one is the fat32 ,the other is ext3,

2. then i put MLO,U-boot,uImage into fat32 partition,put the system file into ext3 parttion,however,i canot copy it,some file copy wrong.

i want to know how to copy it and did i do it rigjt?

i also want to know what is the raw mode.

PS：I found it all friends provide me the ways are about the micro SD card. but i want to boot it from here and i will remove the micro sd card,Thx

Which file system you are trying? Provide your git tree information.

Hi Neo,

An Angstrom script is commonly used to format SDCard:

You can change the name of the ext3 partition from "Angstrom" to "rootfs". Another good link to understand SD formatting/booting is the following:

Once you copy the MLO, u-boot and uImage in the FAT32 partition, do you see traces on the serial output?

Neo,

Can you tell your pandaboard revision? Just to make sure the binaries you are using are really targeting your platform.

I can tell that the steps provided Deep post are working well on my Pandaboard ES2.1.

Also, are you sure your board does not have any hardware issue like SDCard not working? Has it been working before?

Just to make sure there is no formatting mistake, can you try to copy a Linaro pre-built image on a 2GB SDCard?

Although it is Android, it would prove that your hardware is working.
