AM389x SATA AC coupling capacitors placement

Hi,

I am using SATA Interface with AM3894 processor. I have used AC coupling capacitors on TX and RX lines. Where should I place these capacitors to achieve the best performance? Shall I place them near AM3894 processor or near SATA connectors?

    Hi Mihir,

    I checked the AM3894 device datasheet, and I think the SATA capacitors should be placed near AM3894 processor. See below:

    Hi Pavel,

    1. Datasheet does not specify anything related to placement of AC coupling capacitors. It just shows the connection to be followed.

    2. I have checked in EVM. SATA AC coupling capacitors are placed near SATA connector.
