DM368 DDR2 OCD Setting

Guru 15520 points

Hi,

I have a question about DM368 DDR2.

Does DDR2 memory controller support to set OCD?
I refer to User Guide, but there was no register for setting OCD.

I guess DM368 can only send "exit OCD calibration" command.
Therefore, there is no register for OCD.
Is my understanding right?

best regards,
g.f.

  •    Yes, DM368 DDR2 memory controller supports to set OCD command, here is the document with the register setting:

    TMS320DM36x DMSoC DDR2/mDDR Memory Controller User's Guide.

     Or, linked here: http://www.ti.com/general/docs/litabsmultiplefilelist.tsp?literatureNumber=sprufi2

More details about OCD can be found usually in DDR2 manufacture document.

    Thanks!

    Phil

  • Hi Phil,

    Thank you for the response.

Sorry, I can't find the register for OCD in DM36x DDR2 memory controller User Guide.
Where in document is it written?
In document, it is only written about "Exit OCD calibration" in page.36 Table 13.

I understand that DDR_A[9:7] are appropriate to DDR2 EMR OCD program bit field,
but if I want to set Adjust mode how to send the command to the memory from DM36x?
Which register need to be set in DDR2 Memory Controller?

    best regards,
    g.f.

  •   Please read through the section 2.4.6 Mode Register Set (MRS and EMRS) in the same document where has details descriptions about the registers and command writing.

     Thanks!
