Adding an PCI motherboard connector and logic to C6713

Hi,

I have a custom C6713 board that we have used in products for many years. I can plug in interface cards of my own design in to it.

I now have an application that requires me to use a commercial PCI card as new interface.

This is not the normal PCI application where I would be designing a PCI card to plug into an existing PCI motherboard connector.

I want to create a PCI interface and motherboard connector and add it to my system. Then I can plug in any PCI card and use it as a peripheral.

I will be generating the PCI clock and other signals whereas all the applications I can find have these as inputs.

Does anyone have any chips or Altera FPGA cores that they can recommend?

Thanks

Gary Dodd

  • Gary,

Please go to TI.com, and on the default Product tab click on Interface. You will find a wide variety of interface devices, including several for PCI applications. You will probably find what you need there.

If you have questions about any of them, you may want to post those questions on the E2E Interface Forum for more knowledgeable answers.
