AM3703 non-OS resorses

Good afternoon,

We are looking to develop with the AM3703 for a time critical application. I am having trouble finding any resorses that describe its use without an OS in particular the servicing of isr's is there any libraries or example code anywhere to help with this?

It seems support for the chip from TI is generally lacking uless you use linux, ideally it would be supported by SYS/BIOS.

Hi,

Yes I have looked at the product page which suggests (very misleadingly) that it is supported which is why we choose the chip but then when the archutecture had all been agreed and i started work I find it is not supported, the table here says this (http://www.ti.com/lsds/ti/tools-software/rtos.page). So we are looking at two options either changing to the OMAP3503 or writing the ISR routines our selves which is why I am looking for resorses/examples that describe its use wihtout an os. Are you able to point me in the direction of any?

Hi Sean,

Have you tried running SYS/BIOS code on the platform anyway? Indeed there is no AM37x platform provided with SYS/BIOS but nothing prevents you from creating one. I don't see why the ISR wouldn't work as the interrupt controller (GIC) is the same for AM37x than OMAP3.

I suggest you look on this forum for people using the Beagleboard XM (DM3730, close to your platform) and SYS/BIOS. Otherwise you can look for bare metal examples still for Beagleboard XM as it is a pretty popular board.
