Sitara SDK 5.07.00 Installer does not run on 64-bit version of Ubuntu 12.04

The Sitara SDK 5.07.00 Release Note states that the Setup scripts have been updated to work on Ubuntu 12.04.  However, the SDK installer ti-sdk-am335x-evm-05.07.00.00-Linux-x86-Install won't run on the 64-bit version.  Is 64-bit not supported?  If so please clarify in the release note.
