OneNAND Boot Mode with DM368

What boot time are you trying to achieve?  The latest RDK features a <10 second boot time.  I believe there are some additional optimizations that could get the boot time closer to 5 sec.

By the way, this was accomplished with NAND.

Thanks for your response.  A <10 second boottime would be acceptable for our application so I'm pleased to hear that this can be accomplished booting from NAND.  Was the NAND you were booting from 8 bit or 16 bit wide?  If you could provide the NAND part number you were using that would be appreciated as well.

I'm not familiar with an RDK.  Can you explain what this is and where I can find it?

The RDK is the hardware and software kit you obtain when purchasing an IPNC reference design.  See www.ti.com/ipcamera.  Who is your TI sales rep?  You can work through him/her on these details.

I'm actually working with the EVMDM368 Evaluation Board from Specturm Digital so I don't have access to the IPNC schematics.  If you could just let me know if the boot times you saw were from 8 bit or 16 bit wide NAND that's all I need to know.

The IPNC RDK uses an 8-bit NAND.  I'm waiting for final confirmation for the 10s boot details from the software team.

The IPNC 4.0 stack is available with a boot time of less than 6 seconds. It uses 8-bit NAND.

I think you'll have to contact TI or Appro for the DM36x IPNC 4.0 stack.
