Go 7007 & wis streamer.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DM385

Hi all,

H/W: Dm385
S/W: ipnc rdk v.3.2

Reffering to logs we are using wis streamer to stream the encoded video data.

Here I have few questions about rtsp streaming and related stuffs.

  1. We use wis streamer for streaming encoded video. but wis intro page(http://www.live555.com/wis-streamer/ never mention about H264 Video support. But I am able to see H264 video using rtsp streaming logs on my console. We able to receive decode and play the H264 data using VLC.  Does TI added supported for H264?

  2. wis streamer says, it uses encoded data  from Linux WIS GO7007 driver.  Since TI has its own enoder hardware and drivers, do we really need chip or drivers like GO7007?

  3. If we use G7007, how and why?

  4. wis streamer is streaming  encoded data from Go7007.  Can we use it to stream some dummy data? (may be a buffer containing TEXT just for experiment purpose!!). if not what is limiting us from doing so?

Thanks in advance.
