Make BeagleBone-DVI-D Cape Functional

Hello Everyone

For my upcoming SYSbios work, i need to have display up on BeagleBone-DVI-D Cape.

And I have installed  SYSbios_Industial_SDK  and tested available gpioLEDBlink application on BeagleBone-AM3358 platform.

But my confusion is which driver will give platform for BeagleBone-DVI-D Cape  and how i can able to test DVI-D Cape.

Any help will be greatly appreciated !!

Thanks

  • Hi,

I assume you need to ask the vendor of your cape board for software support. For sure there is no support inside the IA-SDK as we don't even support our BeagleBone. The IA-SDK at the moment only supports ICE and IDK boards.

    Regards.

  • Hello Frank

As i mentioned previously, i have successfully tested IA-SDK gpioLEDBlink.c on BeagleBone.

Apart from that, i got some information that we can use IA-SDK raster.c as a static library  because it is specific to raster LCD controller. And regarding application point RasterDisplay.c & Image.h could be taken to draw some image on HDMI after linking with Raster.Lib. But i am not sure about whether any additional changes required in dependent platform drivers like Lcd.c , gpio.c, interrupt.c, cpu.c ..etc !!.

    Please come with Your remark.

    Thanks

  • Again, we do not support any display functions with IA-SDK as there are no displays on our boards (ICE & IDK). The source you mention is part of Starterware and this is really an independent package if you are working on Beaglebone. There is also a special forum for Starterware.

    Regards.

  • I hope we are posting under starterware forum. And i am following   http://e2e.ti.com/support/embedded/starterware/f/790/t/217864.aspx

Here they have succeeded  with BeagleBone LCD 3.5" cape.

Is there some different  starterware forum  as you mentioned ??

    Thanks

  • Sorry,

I missed that we are in Starterware forum... so let's see if anyone of that team responds too. Otherwise I suggest to enter a new thread with a clear focus on a Starterware question. I assume Starterware team will also refuse questions on hardware they don't have...

    Regards.
