BeagleBone Black - u-boot not booting

Hi TI,

I got a "BeagleBone Black REVA5A", which is booting from eMMC. I have booted and stopped in u-boot prompt by connecting debug port.

I have followed below link.

U-boot sources link, 

https://github.com/beagleboard/u-boot.git

I have downloaded and built u-boot and generated u-boot.bin for am335x_evm configuration.

I run following commands from u-boot prompt

  • setenv serverip 10.20.1.29; setenv ipaddr 10.20.1.49
  • tftp 0x82000000 u-boot.bin
  • go 0x82000000

Can anyone help me which sources and document to be followed.

    Hi Biser,

    I just note your this post to try help the user's question. I really don't think your post will help to answer the user's question. All this type of links  are very general link. Be honest to say No help at all. I think most users will find this type link by google. If you think the answer is in this link, you at least point to which section, to tell the title of that section. Based on this link it is too wide range to find answer. I think the user cannot find answer base on such general informative page. I also know you are not only one from "TI Employee" post this type link as reply user's question. I really think this type link wast my time. Therefore, I am writing here to hope all "TI Employee" be think about before sending this type link. I can understand not all "TI Employee" know all questions, but don't post this type  message. If you don't know the question just don't answer, I think it is fine to users.

    Of course, you are not only one disappoint to me, some of "TI Employee" check his post is verified, but I have met many of them are not true. So be understood this post is not point out to you only. It hopes all "TI Employee" be responsible for at reply questions. If you can bring this issue to your meeting and let your management aware about, it will be great  appreciate.

    It is really a question, how effectively help users in this kind of e2e community.

    Hi Anil

     I'm also facing the same issue. Once my BBB board works fine with my AC charger(5V, 2A). When i connect with UART-USB Debug cable (TTL-232R-3V3) with my BBB means it doesn't boots up properly and the user LEDs were doesn't blink and also my minicom prompt (not responding )show some junk characters.
