AM335X: GPMC A/D mux mode with 8-bit device

When I want to use 8bit device with GPMC, the only way is using the non multiplexed address data 8bit mode.

Is it right?

I use 8bit mode gpmc now, yes it is 8 bit non multiplex mode.

But it is strange that if I do not set these bit  

val = GPMC_CONFIG1_READTYPE_SYNC; 
val |= GPMC_CONFIG1_WRITETYPE_SYNC;

then I can not see the gpmc_ax  address line roll on the scope .

Is the am335x only support synchronous mode in 8bit mode?

I have successfully use 16bit multiplex mode with asynchronous mode before.

From your post I have no idea what you are doing or what software you are using. No, 8-bit mode does not support only sync access. Async is also supported.

Is the gpmc_a22 gpmc_a23 gpmc_24 is available in 8bit mode?
I can see the pulse of gpmc_a6 gpmc_a7 gpmc_a8 but can not see the pulse of gpmc_a22 gpmc_a23 gpmc_24 in sync mode.

See Table 7-5 in the AM335x TRM Rev. P.

in 16bit multiplex mode ,the gpmc_ad0 which will be actually the address line A1 .
So I am strange ,Is the gpmc_a0 do is the gpmc_a0 or gpmc_a1 in 8bit mode?
